what bitrate urge music

What bitrate is Urge music?

When you download music from the urge service, what bitrate is it?

Depends on what the supplier has ripped it as - usually between 96-200 ish, but can't confirm that. Not a big fan of the URGE service to be honest.

So you are saying the bitrate is always different in Urge? Oh my gosh, how stupid is that? With Yahoo and all other services the bitrate is the same for every song. Yahoo is 192 as is Napster. Rhapsody is a crappy 160k. 192k is crappy too, but at least they're all the same.
I think anything below 192k is pointless. and 96k you say for some in Urge, that's absolute crapola!!
So by saying you can't confirm, well, your whole response to me sounds like you've never used Urge.

I have used Urge, I just don't like signing up for something which I'll rarely use. I did say I couldn't confirm it - but why don't you give it a go and see if I was right? :o)

Since they are under one one company VH1, MTV, CMT (Viacom), all the songs I have downloaded so far the bit rate 192 Kbps. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I didn't think you had used it because you said you couldn't confirm it. Your message to me just sounded like you've never used it. that's all. I am not sure I want to sign up for it. I might, but not sure. If you open the songs in windows xp using media player 10, would it work or does it require wmp 11 or that the DRM be transferred to XP as well?
I'm not sure I'd sign up considering I've got yahoo and use an app to convert all the music to mp3 320k so I don't loose any quality. :)

Sorry - I totally understand what you mean - I have used it, but not really checked the bitrates or anything, and was going off a common assumption.
Urge should work with Windows Media Player 11 - hands down - should be as simple as that, nothing really else required except an Internet connection and a web browser, but their already there :o)
